Two indictments against Loudoun County Public Schools were unsealed Monday following an investigation into the district’s handling of two sexual assault cases involving a “gender-fluid” student, Fox News reported.
- Scott Ziegler, who was fired last week from his role as Loudoun County Public Schools superintendent, was charged with false publication, prohibited conduct and penalizing an employee for a court appearance.
- Former public information officer Wayde Byard was charged with felony perjury.
- Loudoun County school officials found themselves at the center of a culture war controversy last year, after the rape of a ninth-grade girl at Stone Bridge High School ignited concerns about policies that allow transgender children to use the bathrooms of their choice.
