Pete Davidson May Have Lost His Feud With Kanye West When He Got a Hillary Clinton Tattoo

In a series of since-deleted Instagram posts over the weekend, rapper Kanye West took aim at romantic rival Pete Davidson, referring to him as “Hillary Clinton’s ex boyfriend.”

SO WHAT

Americans on both sides of the West-Davison feud can agree that getting a giant Hillary Clinton on your arm is a mistake.

WHAT HAPPENED

West, whose split from estranged wife Kim Kardashian has gone from amicable to fraught in recent months, mocked Davidson’s Clinton tattoo on Saturday.

“LOOK AT THIS D**KHEAD I WONDER IF INSTAGRAM GONNA SHUT DOWN MY PAGE FOR DISSING HILARY CLINTON’S EX BOYFRIEND,” the rapper commented.

  • In other Instagram posts, West called Davidson — a “Saturday Night Live” cast member who has been dating Kardashian — “Skete” and shared screenshots of text messages apparently sent to him by the comedian.
  • On Monday, West posted a screenshot of a text message apparently sent to him by Kardashian, in which the mega-celebrity said: “U are creating a dangerous and scary environment and someone will hurt Pete and this will all be your fault.”
  • “UPON MY WIFE’S REQUEST PLEASE NOBODY DO ANYTHING PHYSICAL TO SKETE IM GOING TO HANDLE THE SITUATION MYSELF,” West captioned the post.

RIVALS IN LOVE AND POLITICS

Long before West and Davidson were fighting over a woman, they appeared to be at odds over politics.

West has faced heavy criticism from liberals in Hollywood and beyond for his early and unabashed support of Donald Trump.

  • Davidson, meanwhile, outraged conservatives by mocking Rep. Dan Crenshaw, R-Texas, in a 2018 “Saturday Night Live” sketch.

In 2017, Davidson shared a photo to Instagram announcing he’d gotten the tattoo of Clinton on his forearm.

  • “Thanks for being such a badass and one of the strongest people in the universe,” Davidson said in the caption.
  • Clinton eventually responded: “This makes it significantly less awkward that I’ve had a Pete Davidson tattoo for years. But seriously, I’m honored. Merry Christmas my friend.”
