See How These Former Twitter Employees Are Reacting to Getting Fired By Elon Musk

Former employees of Twitter have filed a class action lawsuit after the company’s new owner, billionaire tech titan Elon Musk, followed through on his plan to slash Twitter’s workforce.

WHAT HAPPENED

In a company-wide memo Thursday, Twitter informed employees they would receive an email to their personal accounts if they were being dismissed.

  • On Thursday, a group of ex-Twitter workers fired a class-action lawsuit alleging they weren’t given enough notice under federal and California law, Bloomberg reported.
  • 3,700 employees, roughly half the workforce, will be let go as part of Musk’s plan to make the company profitable and reduce bloat.

HOW THEY’RE TAKING IT

Expressions of solidarity, and mockery, have been pouring out on Twitter, where the social media platform’s former employees have taken to venting their feelings about the cutbacks.
