This List of of What Black Americans Care About Shows How Out of Touch Liberals Are

Racism and policing are way down on the list of issues concerning black Americans, according to a survey.

Woke progressives are pretty much the only people obsessed with racism.

A Pew Research Center poll released in April asked black adults to name the most important issue facing the community they live in.

Only 3% of black Americans gave responses related to racism or policing.

  • Violence and crime topped the list (17%) of local concerns, followed by economic issues (11%) and housing (7%).

Liberal elites, from the mainstream media to the Democratic Party, may be fixated on “systemic racism,” but ordinary black Americans have long made clear they have different priorities.

  • In August of 2020, at the height of “defund the police” fervor,” a Gallup poll found that 81% of black Americans didn’t want to reduce police presence in their communities.
  • A majority of black Americans want police funding in their area to increase or stay the same, according to a Pew Research Center survey released last year.
  • A July 2021 Hill-HarrisX poll found just 11% of black Americans want to reduce police activity in their communities.

Black Americans were disproportionately victimized by a spike in homicides in 2020, Fox News reported last month.
