This Video Shows How Clueless the Media Is About Joe Rogan

A compilation video of podcaster Joe Rogan expressing left-of-center views suggests those trying to censor him as extreme may not understand America.

SO WHAT

If Rogan is so fringe, then why is he more popular than any of his critics on cable news?

WHAT HAPPENED

The video, which was released Thursday by the anti-establishment podcast and YouTube show “Breaking Points,” has racked up more than 1 million views on Twitter.

The compilation, which is made up of clips from the hugely popular “Joe Rogan Experience” podcast, shows Rogan criticizing the right while endorsing various left-leaning causes.

  • Rogan, a UFC commentator and stand-up comedian, praises former first lady Michelle Obama and endorses the Democratic presidential campaign of Sen. Bernie Sanders, I-Vt.
  • “The right-wing thing is just an easy way to dismiss me,” Rogan says in one clip. “I’m not right wing.”

#CANCEL JOE ROGAN

Rogan’s immense reach and a lucrative deal with Spotify have recently made him a target for liberals who want him removed from the platform and claim he is a toxic “far-right” figure.

  • So far, a firestorm over past controversial remarks, which led Rogan to issue an apology, have not led to his removal from Spotify, despite a widespread campaign from liberal musicians, journalists and employees of the company.
  • Rogan’s popularity has confounded members of the media class, and prompted one CNN anchor to frustratedly declare this week: “I’ll admit, I’m out of ideas for what to do about Joe Rogan.”
  • CNN even went as far as to recruit an expert to explain Rogan’s appeal.

According to Nielsen data, an estimated 11 million people tune in for each “Joe Rogan Experience” podcast episode – a figure that dwarfs CNN’s average of 822,000 viewers in primetime.
