President Donald Trump has officially called for the resignation of Democratic Rep. Ilhan Omar after her absurdly anti-Semitic tweets about “hook-nosed” Jews.
Trump made the comments against Omar during a cabinet meeting at the White House on Tuesday.
“Anti-Semitism has no place in the United States Congress,” Trump said bluntly.
Omar is one of two Muslim women elected to Congress in November; Rashida Tlaib of Michigan, also a Democrat, was the other.
Omar’s comments were made on Twitter on Sunday.
Her tweets specifically attacked Israel, claiming Republican lawmakers support the Jewish state because of campaign donations.
