Arizona senatorial candidate Marc Victor, economist Adam Posen and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky are all having bad days.
- But who’s having the worst day on Twitter?
HAVING A BAD ONE
VICTOR: At Arizona’s senatorial debate yesterday, the Libertarian Party candidate raised eyebrows by declaring “reasonable minds” disagree on what the age of consent should be.
POSEN: Speaking at a Cato Institute event yesterday, the president of the Peterson Institute for International Economics, an influential think tank, earned fierce blowback by suggesting people opposed to free trade policies are motivated by racism.
ZELENSKY: Just hours after Time named the Ukrainian president a likely candidate for the Nobel Peace Prize, he provoked widespread backlash by appearing to urge NATO to launch a “preventive strikes” on Russia. Zelensky’s communications team was forced into damage control mode, claiming his remarks were misinterpreted, and he was merely referring to sanctions.
